Legacy Project

ISF World Seed Congress 2020 with our slogan “Shared roots, greater heights” reflects our commitment to sustainability, partnership, and making a positive impact on the country where our ISF World Seed Congress is being held. This aligns with our long term vision as the seed people of the world and our role as the critical starting point of food production.

Therefore ISF has engaged with a local partner “Afrika Tikkun (https://afrikatikkun.org/)” to support a community center in the Mfuleni township of Cape Town, the city hosting our ISF World Seed Congress. Our engagement is focused on supporting thousands of young South Africans and families from impoverished communities to grow in a healthy, safe environment that uplifts their social, mental and physical capacities.

Concretely the legacy project will help to construct tunnels for vegetable production, sustainable energy and water supply through solar power and water tanks including an irrigation system, as well as a sports field for soccer and netball for young children. With your support, these facilities will be built and maintained for several years. I am counting on your generosity and commitment to make this happen.

Besides specific sponsorships you will find in the ISF Sponsorship leaflet, additional donations can be made with your registration. If you would like to make this donation through a different payment method, please register and contact us.
